NO TIME FOR MY OWN well you get the idea

The epic story of three people who got smacked in the face by truckloads of Real Life and ended up having no time to follow up with a little blog... okay fine it's not that epic. But I do have some good news for everyone! ...Anyone! No idea how many people are still looking for me here anymore. Hopefully someone. I'm rambling. Let's do the break thing.

Right so. Real life showed up at the start of the school year and suddenly there has been NO TIME FOR MY SHIT. I'm going to level with you all here: I spend a lot of time telling people it's no biggie and that my shit is very much together, but the brave face act is tiring and anyone who's stuck with this blog through... ssssssssssshit nearly three months completely dead? Four? :(

Well, you deserve the truth. Life is FUCKING MESSY when you have therapy, rehab and classes. I'm getting better, I really am, which is good because I do NOT want to be living with this shit when winter hits. Remember how much Fun Jeremy was Fun Having during Fun Summer? Yyyyeah.

So I have had no time for this blog, which is just as well cause Lacy's also finding out how great school can be and she has no time, and Roomie and I had to move and he got laid off and had to get new work so HE has no time, so if you tried to get in touch with any of us I'm pretty sure the answer was dead air all around. Lacy might have got back to a couple of you, I hope so anyway. Me? Not a chance. Haven't checked the RPG.net boards, haven't checked email, I've just been swamped.

The generosity of the people in my life is what's made this semester any kind of possible. People helping me onto buses, or taking time out of their lives to drive me places, or transcribing notes for me when I just can't do things on a day where the pain is too much. Moving day, two of the neighbors just up and carried all the furniture in themselves. I don't think I've gotten to say even five words to them since. It's been I just have to say like... beyond touching, beyond moving for random strangers and people who I know have tons of shit going down in their own lives to help keep me on track.

So the good news is that the semester is finishing up soonish and after that I will be watching some
Christmas movies for the first time! The bad news is... still a couple of weeks to go. Roomie went through and looked at some of the comments people left during the Long Time Where There Were No Jeremies (there might have been some, but they were the wrong brand) and I really appreciate all the well-wishes. Looking forward to getting back in touch as soon as exams are over :D

  2. That's good news. I'm sure some of us have been keeping tabs, but real life takes precedence. Either way it is likely that those keeping tabs will then warn others.

  13. The great thing about an RSS reader is, I can subscribe to blogs I like, and not lose track of them when they fall silent! So yes, count me among those still here. I'm glad you're making it through, even if it's a hard slog, and I totally understand about not keeping the brave face up all the time. It's good to vent.

Best of luck with the rehab and the rest of the semester, and I look forward to whatever you watch next! (Don't let them stick you entirely with sappy Christmas movies. You should totally see THE LION IN WINTER -- the version with Peter O'Toole and Katherine Hepburn, not the more recent one -- and marvel at its machiavellian palace-intrigue rendition of "the dysfunctional family gets together for the holidays".)

  14. Just found out about the new post. You might want to talk to someone in, I guess it would be student aid. It seems like in your condition they should be assigning you a note taker. When I was in college I had one because my dysgraphia made accurate note taking nearly impossible. It didn't even involve any extra effort on the note taker's part it was someone already in the class who was provided with carbonless copy paper so there was an extra copy of their notes made as they took them.

  15. Yay! New post!

Add Die Hard to your Christmas movie list because a) it's amazing, and basically the template for 90% of the action movies that come after it and b) so you can join in the "is Die Hard a Christmas movie?" debate. Spoiler - it's totally a Christmas movie.
